Exchange traded volumes were almost entirely down w/w while y/y volumes were mixed.

In the week ending 21 August 2026, exchange-traded futures volumes fell almost across the board. Heating Oil was among the hardest hit: its Oct volumes dropped 40.20% and Nov nearly 50%, though December held up better with a 25.75% decline. RBOB likewise fell across its front three tenors, with M1 down 13.20% and both M2 and M3 off by more than 11%. WTI was mixed - M2 and M3 slipped 20.50% and 10.81% respectively, while M1 managed a 6.88% gain.
