Exchange traded volumes w/w were mixed while y/y volumes were almost entirely higher.
In the week ending 14 August 2026, exchange-traded futures volumes were mixed. Brent weakened across the front of the curve, with the Oct and Dec tenors both shedding over 20%; the Nov tenor held up better at -14.6%. WTI followed suit: the Oct tenor eased 11.59%, Nov fell 14.11%, and Dec sank almost 29%. Heating Oil ran the other way, gaining on every tenor - the M1 was up 54.50%, M2 increased by 69.12%, though the M3 was barely moved up just 2.88%.
