Pick your poison! This would raise billions and billions for the US, a cash-starved economy suffering from a war of choice – at least if any ships go through… Traffic has all but stopped already. Tolls and commission will only accelerate Gulf projects to bypass the Strait, as the UAE’s plans for another port outside the Gulf along with its pipeline expansion, but these all take time. 2% or 20%, else I bomb you! These are the choices the poor user faces. They are caught between a rock and a hard place, the US and Iran.
