Two straight months of war and there seems to be no signs of improvement.

April draws to a close and the market finds itself unsure of where things are heading. The US-Iran conflict has descended into a bizarre stalemate wherein both sides are playing for time, each hoping it will give them more leverage over the other. Iran is inflicting economic pain onto the whole world, while the US hopes to force Iran to fill its oil storage and cause production shut ins, gambling this will push Iran into a more conciliatory negotiating position. But the talks via Pakistan have shown Iran to be nothing if not resolute on its terms.
