The shooting started again and escalated significantly last night. The US hit all over Iran and Iran retaliated against Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan again. But the market is so numb. Prices jumped to over $95 at the open but rapidly sold off again towards $93 by the time Europe lurched into life. This ‘ceasefire’ is as fragile as a porcelain teapot in the middle of a golf driving range – all it takes is one big hit and it’ll shatter into a thousand pieces. Trump has threatened even more strikes if Iran doesn’t make a deal – this is pure gunboat, big stick diplomacy with actual follow-through!
