Exchange-traded futures volumes all up w/w but a mixed picture y/y

In the week ending 10 July 2026, exchange traded futures volumes were entirely up w/w. Brent volumes were up 39.98% and almost 70% in the Sep and Oct tenors respectively. Gasoil volumes were up massively, by 60% in the Sep tenor, and almost 90% across Oct and Nov. Heating Oil volumes in the Sep and Oct tenors jumped up 13.88% and 35% respectively, but again M3 outperformed rising by about 57%. RBOB volumes were also up across the board, but to a lesser degree than other contracts. WTI’s front month surged 45%, and that strength was mirrored down the curve.
