The WAF market is getting busy but it's all taking place behind closed doors, the Russian government is under pressure, European jet fuel inventories are coming back to life while Canada's prospective West Coast pipeline has the PM's blessing.
The WAF situation is rippling out, as a source said “lots [is] going under the radar” at the moment. The source commented that the chartering market has been “super busy” all week, but deals are being kept under wraps and private. A source in Nigeria confirmed that several deals are going ahead, though didn’t provide more details. Norway finally managed to avert its drilling strike, as unions agreed on a trade deal last night before the midnight deadline. That means over 600 workers will keep labouring in the North Sea. But North Sea pricing remains exceptionally feeble.
