Canada has some seriously ambitious pipeline aspirations, Germany’s car industry can’t catch a break as China continues to steal market share, Europe’s non-oil energy system is coming under fire, and the US goods trade deficit has widened alarmingly quick.
This market is very nervy! The UAE released a phone alert about potential incoming missiles but sources in Dubai said this was a false alarm. Abu Dhabi sources also reported warnings. And there has been some drone activity in the Strait. Flat price spiked by a buck in just one minute, before collapsing straight back down a couple of minutes later. Prices are still responsive to war noise and escalation rumours. This ceasefire is fragile… At least the 22 Iranians detained by the US when it seized an oil tanker have been delivered to the Iranian embassy in Pakistan. The Dated Brent market is very fragile at the moment too. The physical differential remains anaemic at -78.5c, while today’s North Sea window was another soft one.
