Iran threatened to attack regional energy infrastructure – and has already followed through. The most important thing today is the refinery targeting. BAPCO “has been flattened” according to a source, as footage shows the refinery engulfed in flames. The facility, on Sitra Island, is Bahrain’s primary refining hub. The extent of the damage remains unclear by press time, though BAPCO claims operations continue – somehow! Note that some sources are also saying the refinery is still running, maybe away but still running. We will have more clarity tomorrow.
